Meet Our Team
Every patient is under the care of a radiation
oncologist who is a cancer specialist with expertise in the application
of radiation therapy as it is used in the management of cancer.
In a large program such as ours, the radiation oncologists have
particular expertise with specific types of cancer. This ensures
that your physician is one who focuses on your specific type of
cancer.
In the Department of Radiation Oncology, our goal is to develop
and implement treatment programs geared towards maximizing the
chances of cure while minimizing the radiation dose to normal organs,
thus attempting to maintain your quality of life and preserve your
normal organ function. Our radiation oncologists maintain strong
academic, clinical and research interests, and a commitment to
your well being.
